2015 KMAM-HOF TRAILBLAZER INDUCTEE Julio Torres Born February 4th 1964 in Juana, Puerto Rico. Master Torres began his martial arts journey as a young child. He had the opportunity to train in Olympic style Tae Kwon Do with Mr. Tony Zayes. Mr. Zayes took Master Torres under his wing and instilled a method of training that is still incorporated in his school today. From 1998-2001 Master Torres trained with Mike Wilson under the direction of Grand Master Ken MacKenzie. Master Torres also studied WTF under the tutelage of Ramon Olivieri who was a Pan American referee between 1985-1990 and participated in the Barcelona Olympics. Master Torres is the owner and instructor of J Torres Tae Kwon Do Academy that he opened in 2012. His school focus is to provide a program where the youth of today may benefit from learning through their own martial arts journey; discipline, structure, self-control, and peace in their mind, body and soul. J Torres Tae Kwon Do Academy, in Camden New Jersey offers a variety of martial arts styles such as Tae Kwon Do, Kenpo, and Capoeira. http://jtorresmartialarts.page.tl
